Burgos Rodrigo Diaz De Vivar
Hello we are three students of Pegagogy , our names are Yanira Paula and Beatriz.
We are going to tell a bit about Burgos .
In the first place we are going to tell you the history about the "CID CAMPEADOR" (Rodrigo Díaz De Vivar ):
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, born around the year 1040 in Vivar, Burgos. It belonged to a family of infanzones or nobles of second category, and was educated next to the future king of Castile Sancho II, that when acceding to the throne distinguished to him with outstanding positions in his army. Rodrigo Díaz participated actively with Sancho II in several contests that this maintained against his brothers.
Alfonso de León, Garcia de Galicia and Urraca, Reina de Zamora. When Sancho II died in the famous siege of Zamora. When he was proclaimed king of Castile and Leon, Rodrigo Diaz remained enmity with the new King. Later, the monarch sought to gain Rodrigo Diaz and arranged a marriage with the queen of the royal lineage Dona Jimena.Towards 1079, Rodrigo Diaz is sent to collect the annual taxes (pariahs) that the king of Seville Al-Motamid paid to Alfonso VI. Returning to Castile is attacked by Granada Muslims and Garcia Ordonez, royal ensign. Rodrigo Diaz defeats them and takes prisoner to Garcia Ordonez, who accuses him of having stayed with part of the tribute, this along with an entrance in the Muslim kingdom of Toledo without permission of Alfonso VI earned him his first exile. During these years of exile I perform various services to both Muslim and Christian kings. The Almoravid threat causes the king to ask for his return, but this does not arrive in time for Aledo (Murcia). The king was defeated, and the exile was produced for the second time.Rodrigo Diaz continues with his campaigns and manages to conquer Valencia. There he establishes his court and his daughters marry members of royal houses, in the year 1099 Rodrigo Diaz die.
